We envision a community where quality, nutritious food is available for all.
Our Commitment to Inclusion
MCHPP doesn’t just accept the differences of our friends and neighbors, we celebrate them. We aim to remove barriers to healthful meals for all of our community members in need regardless of race, color, age, religion, sexual orientation or gender identity and to foster an environment of inclusion.

Stories from MCHPP
Marc, Nicole, and Avery
Grocery prices have gone up this year, and keep going up. The pantry helps leave room in our budget to pay other bills and buy all of the things Avery needs. The diapers have been especially wonderful. Between our baby shower and the pantry, we’ve yet to buy a single one.
Vic and Barb
Being a link in the process of redirecting food away from a landfill to people who are food insecure is deeply satisfying. The bonus is working with the other volunteers who are our food bank family. We all work hard and laugh a lot.
First-Time Pantry Guest
The box of food I have is so impressive! Everyone was so nice to me and really cared about what food I wanted.
Thanksgiving Bag Recipient
We were planning on eating something cheap, hotdogs or hamburgers. You don’t know how much it means to have a real turkey this year.
Jeanne d’Arc Mayo, Founding Volunteer
My efforts helping to establish MCHPP are very meaningful to me. Unfortunately, hunger remains a huge societal problem. This is why I continue to support the critically important mission of Mid Coast Hunger.
